As you can see in the below example, the contents of the parenthesis is automatically highlighted as you type closing parenthesis. This feature may be very useful for long expressions with many enclosed parenthesis.

The parenthesis highlighting feature is absolutely transparent. Highlighting switches it off as soon as you release the SHIFT button, or type any character.

The parenthesis options setup allows you to specify its' settings or even completely disable this feature.
